    Re: Video Gaming (Xbox)

Paul I just picked up BlOps again last night, I am going to post another GamerTag in the GT thread. IF anyone wants to hit me up please send it to that one. I still have the other account, but my new one will pretty much mainly be for BlOps, and BlOps only.

Oha nd th Kinect game is Kinect Adventures isn't it. Fun game to play, especialy when you start to progress with it.

You got the 4gb didn't you Paul?

Sorry tried looking for the Gamertag thread and could not find it, just don't have the patience for it right now becasue this computer is slow as heck. Will look for it when I get home. Here is the new GT...A FlacEd RamRod

    Sorry Chase!

    Re: Video Gaming (Xbox)

It was given to me as a late Christmas Gift (The first time anyone has cept their word to me about making good on a delayed Christmas Gift). They gave me the 250gb model and the Black Ops game.

I still have some PS3 games I have not had a chance to play yet so I am feeling the pressure to play on the Xbox so I can honestly express my gratitude for the gift.

One thing I like about the PS3 over the Xbox is that the PS3 has the ability to over-ride the picture on the TV by way of HDMI sense. So if I am watching cable and turn on the PS3, they TV automaticaly changes from the Cable HDMI input to the PS3 input without me having to do it. And when I turn the PS3 off, the TV switches back to the Cable Box signal.

With the Xbox I have to turn on the Xbox then switch to HDMI3 for the Xbox. When I am done, I have to turn off the Xbox and change the HDMI setting on the TV back to HDMI 1.

    Thanks Chase!

Harmony One is da bestest. I will NEVER use anything other then a Harmony now.

That does suck Paul about the changing thing, but I don't have that issue anymore, well since I have the One I press Watch TV, and it does all the switching, Play Xbox 360, it switches, Watch DVD, switches on that too. Worked pretty well with the HDMI switch box I was using before too. Now it works even smoother with the Sound Bar that I have hooked up. One Remote does everything. Damn I can even program the Ceiling fans, lights and blinds if I so choose too.

Right now I am having fun using my Iphone as a remote for the TV. I am sure we are near a point where the smartphone will be replacing the home remote. And I am too cheap to buy a hi-fangled remote

Oh and Paul sweet gift you got there! Can I say that for Kinect games, Kinect Sports is pretty fun, and so is Dance Central. Fitness Evolved is good if you want to exercise and stuff. Damn thing tells you when you are doing the exercise wrong, damn it, no cheating!

Just got the new "Homefront" game. The plot is great but game play is a little harder than Black Ops. Anyone else pick this one up yet?

Silverlight coming to Xbox, bringing WP7 games along with it?

By Tim Stevens posted Apr 5th 2011 at 10:19AM

Silverlight started as just a humble Flash competitor and now, well, it's all grown up. Almost, anyway. It's a fundamental part of the Windows Phone 7 ecosphere and word on the street is that it's about to become a fundamental part of the Xbox 360 world as well -- or a part, at least. Microsoft's MIX 11 developer event kicks off next week and rumor has it that Microsoft will unload a new tier of Silverlight compatibility enabling apps on the company's console and there's the potential for writing apps that could run both on phones and on the console. That sounds like some utopian dream-world of the future, where wavey-arm Kinect antics replace touchscreen swipes, but the bigger question is does the Xbox 360 really need another app store? Will this co-exist with the XNA-developed titles or supersede them? Is this why Xbox developer boxes just got a lot cheaper? Might we finally get Angry Birds on our HDTVs? Such delicious ponderings.

    Re: Video Gaming (Xbox)

Posting this in here, because it is for Xbox people only.

Everyday until May 15th you can win FREE MS Points. Just by answering a few questions about games. You can google them if you want. For every answer correct you get one entrance into the Weekly which is 4000 MS Points, the dailies are anywhere from 100-1000 MS Points. Also every month they post another survey question and you get 20 MS points just for taking the survey. They are giving away 100,000 MS Points.

Hope this link works, just sign in, sign up for Rewards, and BAM you can start getting free points. Also typically with purchases you earn points for spending points. If you are already in the Rewards program, just sign in. Oh an d the screen you will need to click for the everyday survey is to the right, on screen 2. (Test Your Gamer IQ) Game questions will be about Halo, GoW, and CoD.

    Xbox LIVE Rewards

For me it paid to wait for the new Reach Map Pack (Defiant), because it is 800 points but now when you buy it they are giving you 400 points back, plus anything over 200 points spent they are giving you a Banshee for your Avatar. Wasn't planning on buying it anytime soon, but with that I surely am getting it soon!
