The CSA farm in Greenwood where I am a member was hit by last night's frost, and they have fields of peppers, tomatoes and eggplants that could still be picked in the next day or two to be cooked or frozen - otherwise the food is going to go to waste!

If you know of anyone who could use some of these thing, OR if you're willing to go pick so that the food can then be donated to a local soup kitchen or food bank, please let me know ASAP! I absolutely can't get away from work this week and have things I MUST do after work every day as well, or I'd go do some picking. I already know of some places that can use the donated food but who don't have the manpower to send someone over to pick stuff. I'm doing what I can from my desk to help make it so this doesn't go to waste, plus if someone else can pick then I'll help arrange to get it to a place that can use it (soup kitchen, shelter, etc.).
