    Ex Cop Arrested

Former officer nearly nabs 12 year old girl
    By Rachael Samuels

A former Wyoming officer faces charges after attempting to get a 12 year old girl into his van.

The young girl says Kevin Wix approached her in a dark colored minivan and told her he was a cop, even showing her his business card.

He persistently asked her to join him in the van but she refused and walked away.

Troopers called Wix, identified from his DMV photograph, and made arrangements for him to give himself up.

Wix faces charges of impersonating a police officer and attempted unlawful imprisonment.

Ummm.....is there such a thing as attempted kidnapping?

If there is, why hasn't he been charged with that?

I know because nothing happened, there's little else they can charge him with.

But it's not very comforting to think about what he wanted with a 12 year old girl in his van, and that he's facing miniscule charges.

I think this man should be strung up and beaten for even attempting such a thing......

Why didn't they just go pick him up.

Well, no. He's not a cop. He was. He is not currently. Hence the charges.

I was wondering the same thing. I used to live close to Camden/Wyoming when I lived down-state.

I think so, girl. It was in the "local crime" section of TNJ yesterday.

Too many wackos out there. When will we as a society insist these guys are severly punished (I volunteer to man the firing squad)! They almost always get slaps on the wrists AND statistics show that by the time they are actually caught, they have already committed dozens of crimes against kids. Sad. Pathetic. Frustrating. Put a bullet in their heads and be done with them. What's that saying "kill'em all and let God sort them out". Yeah, I'd be for that.

Didn't realize I was feeling so violent today!!!

I'm betting there is a reason that he is an "ex-cop" other than a voluntary career change.
