My vote probably goes to Madeline's. Are there any other small hidden gems you know of?

lol.....I'm horrible, I'd probably say The Olive Garden
America is an idea, but it's an idea that brings with it some baggage, like power brings responsibility. It's an idea that brings with it equality, but equality even though it's the highest calling, is the hardest to reach. The idea that anything is possible, that's one of the reasons why I'm a fan of America. - Bono, Commencement University of Pennsylvania May 17, 2004
I love Maggiano's. There is one in Philly and one at King of Prussia. I think they have excellent Italian food. Of course, nothing was better than my grandmother's Italian cooking.
I love Mrs.Robino's,great sauce.
Hoo boy, That IS horrible! You need to get out more. And the next time you go out for Italian, skip the pseudo-italian franchises and try the real deal. There's lots of authentic Italian restaurants around New Castle County. Three excellent ones off the top of my head are La Casa Pasta, @four seasons pkwy, Mrs. Robino's, in Wilmington, and Nonna's, on Rt. 4 just south of the Chr. Hospital.![]()

There is no second best IMO. It's where the real Italian speaking Italian's go to eat. The hot peppers are incredible..... *drool*

Attilio's in Wilm. is real good.
And La Casa Pasta is very good in Glasgow.
If I wanted good Italian, I would go to Casa Pasta.
I love their homemade pasta.
And even though it's not "Italian" per se, their Stuffed Shrimp and Stuffed Flounder are some of the best I've ever had when you get it on a good night.
I used to get real good food from Cafe Bellisimo years ago. I understand they kind of went south in later years, which is why they're probably out of business.
Cafe Napoli has a counter part on Rt.40 called Trattora DiNapoli.....awsome food!!!!!![]()

In the middle of our street?
Gotta go with Mrs. Robino's.

I like Lamberti's-I guess it's near Price's Corner/Acme-I'm not originally from here-it's right near where we live in Newport-really good Chicken Marsala-next to me & my grandma's. If you ever venture over to Jerzy-Botto's in Swedesboro is excellent-you will bring home a dog box even if you fill up! I did get to ask one of the workers and Lamberti's here is related to Lamberti's in Jerzy and they are very good. Oh and for Pizza I like Ciao in Trolley Square right on the fork there-I stop when I go to Physical therapy!
I waited tables there for about a year while Frank was still alive. Bert, the chef at the time, was awesome and made delicious food... He went on to help found Cafe Nonna over by Christiana Hospital.
I think they (Valle's) are a bit overpriced for what they offer, but that can be said of many places.
