cracker, Newark has some great poetry jams and coffeehouse hang-outs, although popular older college hang-outs like the Stone Balloon and the Rathskellar are long gone, changed ownership ,or have altered the venue. My favorite bar room midnight stand-bye Deer Park Hotel & Tavern is still on Main Street, probably still cursed by Edgar Allan Poe , and still occasionally sees its old customer and band player George Thorogood stop in for a pitcher of beer and a song.

Nah, I'll probably make my way down to Main Street at some point and see what's there. I'd invite you all but no one would show up.

Cracker, the Iron Hill brewery makes a great porter( Pig Iron Porter) when you can get it. It's not that heavy and has a little bite.
