    Re: Weather Discussions

That's the funniest thing I've seen in a week.

I think that ocean current Gore was rambling about finally stopped moving.. did you look at the national temperatures? Good grief. You know it's bad when the highest temperature is 67 and that's at the very bottom of Florida.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know. My best friend works at DelDot and they are now sending out the trucks to salt the road.

I'm actually kind of excited, looks like they are doing a pre-emptive strike for once!!!

Hey Robb... where do you get your weather advisories??

Guilty as charged! But I love all weather. I'm actually thinking about going on a storm chasing trip in Tornado Valley.

I get them delivered to my cell and email immediately as they are issued by using a service at http://www.stormnow.com

My computer alerts me also as soon as they are issued by using a program called Interwarn. It can be purchased at http://www.interwarn.com (they have a free 21 day demo you can try).

If you don't wanna pay anything, you can check manually at:
http://www.weather.gov and put in your zip code.

    IT'S SNOWING!

Ha. I got it first for once. But my glory is shadowed by the fact that Robb already said it was going to.

    Bastard.

Huh? Something weird happened while posting. See below.

Why can't I delete a whole post if I want to?

Well, I'm loaded for bear. Took the kid to school, did the grocery shopping, went to the bank, the chiropractor, the video store and McDonald's. Got 4 episodes of Lost on DVD, the heat's on 72, Jim Rome's on the radio....

    Bring It On!

Oh yeah....I didn't have to work today.

And....ANNNNNND....I don't have to go to that baby class tonight! Yee Ha!

Yeah. My 12 mile commute took an hour and forty minutes. Kudos to the City of Wilmington for not bothering to prep any of the roads downtown even though people living in holes knew that it was going to be icy this afternoon. That city tax they take out of my paycheck that I don't get a dime of back at the end of the year wasn't put to work at all today.

ok....my daughter decided she wanted to get an earache today!!!!!! So, I had to venture off in this icy mess to the doctor's office and Happy Harry's and the bank and etc. and every where you looked cars running into cars, cars running into fences, cars running into houses, cars running into people, cars running into George Bush (oops sorry that was just wishful thinking)

Ha! I know, wasn't it awful tonight? There were at least eight cars involved in an accident eastbound on Route 4 close to Limestone Road. I sat there without moving for at least 20 minutes. Then I finally got to Route 4 around the hosptial/ Delaware Park area and sat there for another 25 minutes. I had to pee the whole time. It was torture.

I was right around that area all this time! I had to take my daughter to the medical aid unit across the street from the hospital.

We were probably bashing our heads against the steering wheel in cars right next to each other!

It took my husband 2 hours to drive 27 miles. He said he sat on the Memorial Bridge for almost an hour. Glad I was home today...the last time we had bad weather it took me 3 hours to get home and there's nothing worse than being stuck in a stick shift.

I slid down Hercules Hill and then watched someone slide their car up onto the DelCastle golf course around 5:00 this evening... It took me an hour to go 7 miles... It was, to say the least, an entertaining ride home.

    I usually go to
The Weather Underground : Weather Underground

Its pretty accurate for the nautical tides, weather and such

Never thought about having it sent to my phone.......
although that would probably just piss me off in the long run... seeing the water temps, moon phases and tides all in the ultimate spot to fish and be at work........
