Well, I'd tell you what I thought, but I havent' seen it!!!

Sometimes I feel just like Sharpay from High School Musical....

Re: Transformers the movie - Review

As a guy who grew up on the Transformers (had the comics, the toys, everything up until I was a Freshman in high school), and seeing this movie (twice) I loved the graphics. Loved it. As far as following the original story line from the 80's? Hated it. Absolutely hated it. But over all, I enjoyed the movie.

    Helpful hints:
Megatron was a gun, not a starship

There were 3 jets, Star Scream, Thunder Cracker, and Skywarp. The movie only showed Star Scream.

Devesator (who I think was listed as a tank in the movie) was actually one robot who was formed by 5 construction vehicles known as "The Constructacons"

Black Out (The Helicopter) didn't come along until "The Combatacons" where introduced in the late 80's/early 90's. And the cop car never existed.

I though it was ok for a movie to take the oldest kids to, graphics were good, special effects or whatever you want to call it ...

I had the toys as a kid too, although not to the extent of The Hater I'm sure, and the story was ok, again, for another remake from a Hollywood with what seems like no original ideas ...

    <--original transformers fan..

Movie was ok.. lots of explosions etc etc.. was a good flick..
Graphics were ok.. I just thought they cheated alot with shakey camera and super blurry transformations..

    Overall I give it a 7.5 out of 10
then I have to add 1 point because Transformers are awesome and always will be.

My favorite part is when Bumblebee breaks down and that broad is elbow deep under the hood..
Very good camera work in that scene.

i loved it. But i wanna see more character development on the transformers rather then the love story with machines.

I agree, they ruin almost every movie because they feel the need to include a "love interest".

Not my type of movie but my son basically forced me to watch the DVD since he loved it in the theaters so much.

I have to say I was amazed at the effects and the size of the production. I wasn't expecting all that action. The story was good but I don't know why Bumblebee wanted to stay on Earth at the end... I thought that seemed odd.

Also... I'm happy I opted not to see this one in the theater as my ears were hurting from the noise coming from just my TV with all that metal on metal noise. A theater must have been very loud and annoying.

During the fight scenes in the city I kept wondering, why are the so zoomed in with the camera. It looked like the camera man was standing right next to them (not really since it was CG but you know what I mean). I think there was one 5 second part where they panned out and it was MUCH better visually.
