Fire Prevention Week

Don't forget to go over your escape plans with everyone who lives at your address. Be sure to know two ways out, and have a meeting place outside so you can check to be sure all are out. Have a practice fire escape drill at 7:00 PM tonight! So your neighbors think you are crazy.....they should be doing it too! Check out your smoke detectors and feed them a new battery if they need them..or do it when we go back to standard time. If your smoke detectors are 10 years or older, please replace them. Kitchen fires are the most common kind of home fires. Be sure you know what to do.
There are lots more good reminders for fire safety. How many do you know?

My plan is to yell to my room mate "This shit's on fire!!!" as I run out the front door or jump off the back balcony. I should probably tell her that I put a fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink when I moved in too. That might be something she should know.
