We had our first fire of the year last night, it was nice just to take the chill off.
First of all, thank you Max! I'm really getting tired of the crap.
I love this weather! I can do without the rain but the temps are right where I like em.

I had a CRAPPY morning! Had a headache last night, so I took some meds which made me oversleep and then (probably because we were JUST talking about this!) I had a flat tire!...and yes, my ex came out and helped me :-)
America is an idea, but it's an idea that brings with it some baggage, like power brings responsibility. It's an idea that brings with it equality, but equality even though it's the highest calling, is the hardest to reach. The idea that anything is possible, that's one of the reasons why I'm a fan of America. - Bono, Commencement University of Pennsylvania May 17, 2004
I'm Glad he did :-)

Did your Ex happen to mention if he had read the TD thread where the changing a flat tire subject came up? Did you still have his number in your cell contact list?
This is nice weather, just could do without the rain.
It's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years......
There needs to be a TV channel - even if it's just an On Demand option - that shows only vintage (70s & 80s) kid shows. I am so over modern stuff for kids. With the exception of Yo Gabba Gabba and one or two others, I just can't stomach the fast paced, super colorful crap. Give me some old school Scooby Doo, Reading Rainbow, 3-2-1- Contact, Getalong Gang, Snorks, He-Man, MASK, and the original versions of Strawberry Shortcake & Rainbow Brite, and my early Saturday mornings will be much happier times.

What about some Bugs, Road Runner, Foghorn Leghorn, Tom and Jerry, Smurfs, etc? Man I miss the old Saturday mornings, waking up and sitting around with some of my favorite cartoons to watch.

All that stuff too - although I have to admit that I was never much into Looney Toons. Smurfs I LOVED. The recent Smurfs movie with Neil Patrick Harris was absolute blasphemy.
And how could I have forgotten - Jem, My Little Pony, old school Transformers, G.I. Joe, H.R. Puf-n-stuf, Lidsville, Romper Room, Mr. Rogers, Chief Halftown, Captain Noah. I could probably go on all day, so I'll leave it at that.

lol - H.R. Puf-n-stuf is on Netflix. I forced my 10 year old to watch it with me a few months back because I was so excited.
He, on the other hand, was not.
Poor kid looked like I was torturing him.

You guys just gave me flashbacks. The boy wants to be Speed Racer for Halloween, old school Speed Racer. So the little one decides she wants to be Trixie. He read the books for the summer reading program at the library. Every time Daddy read with him he started singing the theme song. This meant I needed to show him episodes on YouTube.
Normal is a setting on a dryer.
What not a fan of Looney Tunes, that's just wrong! G.I. Joe, and Transformers were some of my faves. Can't forget Thundercats either. Yeah I remember Mr. Rodgers too.
Cheif Halftown used to come to the bowling alley I frequented, was like a once a month occurrence to see him I think. Don't think I've ever met him or seen anything related to him, other then seeing his name on the sign.....lol

I always liked the Snorks, Duck Tails, Chip and Dale, Darkwing Duck and all the shows you guys mentioned.

Oh, and Voltron! God I loved Voltron. Tiny Tunes as well.

I tried to get my kids interested in a tape of Shari Lewis and Lambchop. It was cute for about 5 minutes. But, Gene London 's storytelling and drawing kept their interest , except haunted Quigley Mansion was boring. I liked the adventure series like Gardner McKay in 'Adventures in Paradise' or Lloyd Bridges in Sea Hunt .

Don't you folks get Boomerang? They were showing the Banana Splits over the summer. I had forgotten about that show.

Yeah I was a Duck Tales, was a fav of mine too, how the heck did I forget Voltron? I used to have the figure, put together the hing stood like 2 feet tall, and was metal. Thing was heavy as hell. Damn I wish I still had that thing, I know it was in good condition still by the time I stopped using it.
