Mothers charged in 5 children’s deaths in Pa. house fire
PITTSBURGH — Two mothers of five children who died in a house fire were charged with involuntary manslaughter and other crimes on Wednesday after allegedly leaving the youngsters alone while they went to a bar. Both women were to turn themselves in today, police said.
Authorities concluded that the children were not left with a baby sitter on June 12, as Shakita Mangham, mother to three of the children, had initially told police.
Love’s attorney, Ernest Sharif, did not return calls to his residence and office Wednesday evening. But earlier in the day, Sharif said he didn’t believe manslaughter charges were warranted after District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr. said he was recommending police file such charges.
“You have a loving parent who did something she regrets, but she didn’t kill the children,” Sharif said.

I think manslaughter is fine because #1 they lied about what they did. If it really hurt (the mistake you made) then step up and take the blame. Now spend the next 15 yrs in a cell thinkin about how a beer was more important than your children's safety

Re: Mothers charged in 5 children’s deaths in Pa. house fire
This happened in Wilmington years ago. Some dipsh*t mother left her kids alone (around the 2300 block of Heald or Thatcher st) while she went drinking at the Thunderguards club. Her kids (five I think) were killed around 1am when one of them was playing with matches or a lighter. Same bull happened, she was a good mother, losing her kids is enough punishment, blah, blah, blah.
Tried to find the story but no luck so far.

I say give them the max. Especially if they were out at a bar just cruisin for some fun. When you have kids, show some responsibility people.
They paid the ultimate price of losing their kids, but I still say they need to
be punished to the fullest including not allowed to have anymore kids.
