Yuengling Lager is pretty good, as is their Lord Chesterfield Ale as mentioned earlier. But their "Premium" Beer is really good. NOT the Premium "Light" Beer, but the Premium beer.... hard to find around here in bottles, usually in cans if I can find it at all. I think it is as good if not better than Yuengling Lager. Just my .02

    LozerBoozer,
Ditto my coffee, I want my morning jolt to taste like coffee, not cinnamon, vanilla, pumpkin, etc
Some of my older friends hold the same view of Sanka and Decaf coffees; it just can't replace the full flavor of a good , regular cup of coffee.

It's kind of like sex, really. You try different varieties but always end up coming back to missionary the basic stuff.

Well today is National Drink A Beer Day, so get your drink on people.

So wish I could find me some of this......

Some of the Samuel Adams Utopia Collection. Goes for like $150 and up, super hard to find, and super rare.

Well bought some Sam Adams Cream Stout last week, definitely was not a fan, gave 4 to my buddy. Smooth at first then, then not sure if there was an after taste or not, but I didn't like it.

i also tried the last of the Sam Adams Barrel Collection. Ugh, that ish was nasty! Unless you like Wine, which I am not a fan of at all! It was like a mixture between a beer and a wine. I will definitely not be buying that again. I'll stick to the American Kriek, and New World in the Barrel Collections.

Probably going to hit up some of the OBX beers I brought home this weekend.

Beau, it's funny- years ago, Schlitz was a good beer, then it got mass produced and watered down to high class dog pee.
I had heard that a german brewer bought the original recipe for Schlitz and is going to re-market it as a high-end beer. Not sure it'll work but I'd like to try it !!

Re: Beer, beer and more beer related things

Went to Two Stones in Newark, Friday night with some peeps from the Softball team, after hitting the batting cages. Good time, small place, and good beer. Had me some Dogfish Punkin, wow, not better then Sam Adams Double Pumpkin, but definitely second after that.

Today after the Softball game, went out with a few peeps to BWW on Limestone Road. First time ever to a BWW, and wings were good (told the waitress to surprise me, came back with Asain Zing boneless, and some garlic whatever you call it too), had me a Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale (mighty tasty, still would take Sam Double, and Dogfish Punkin over it), and then asked what kind of Sam they had on Draft.

Had the typical, Octoberfest, and Lager, and then the zinger of Angry Orchard. Was told it was good. So I tried it......OMG, Angry Orchard is amazing! Good Bye Cherry Wheat, I want Angry Orchard, so make some room, lots and lots of room!

    I'm normally a pinot grigio girl...however, I'll drink a beer with a slice of pizza...and then I'll have a Corona please :-)

America is an idea, but it's an idea that brings with it some baggage, like power brings responsibility. It's an idea that brings with it equality, but equality even though it's the highest calling, is the hardest to reach. The idea that anything is possible, that's one of the reasons why I'm a fan of America. - Bono, Commencement University of Pennsylvania May 17, 2004

Yes, the Angry Orchard is amazing, but at 200 cals/12 oz ya gotta be careful. You could have 2 Girls uh Coors Light for that count.

Had my son over the other day to run some electric for me and I offered to pay him. He requested a six pack of the Angry Orhard. It is pretty good. When I went to the store for it the guy there said it's selling like crazy.
