    New Fall TV Shows

Any new TV shows you are looking forward to this fall season?

I am interested, being the comic book geek that I am, to see Arrow on the CW. It is a take on DC's Green Arrow.

I am also interested in checking out Elementary on CBS which is a modern take on Sherlock Holmes and I am interested in seeing Revolution on NBC.

Last Resort is also interesting to me. A story about a nuclear sub gone rogue.

Don't think there is anything that seems like I can't miss. Revolution looks good though, probably give it a few weeks and see where it goes.

Other then that Wifey wants to watch Partners, looks kind of funny.

Some comedy on CBS with Sopiha Bush from One Tree Hill, and David Krumholtz from Numbers.

. Although they couldn't be more different, Louis and Joe are lifelong friends and partners in an architecture firm. Their "bromance" is tested when Joe gets engaged and Louis is in a new relationship.

I just want to see the new season of Big Bang Theory.

Revolution, Elementary, Last Resort, and The New Normal look pretty good. Although the title is so cheesy that it almost makes me not want to watch, I may give 666 Park Avenue a shot as well. It was described as a cross between Lost and Desperate Housewives.

Other than that, new season of the Amazing Race, Boardwalk Empire, and Revenge. I swear - everything I enjoy watching is on Sundays.

way to take us off topic

I look forward to this show too to return and How I Met Your Mother, Criminal Minds, Once Upon A Time, Last Man Standing....

Grimm has been good this season so far, we got teased with one new episode of Touch, I enjoy watching Kitchen Nightmares as I usually will eat at those places when I travel for work. Hit about a dozen so far.

But I digress, this is a thread about BRAND NEW SHOWS!!!!

    Re: New Fall TV Shows

Doctor Who (BBC America & BBC 1 series 7, started 1 Sept.... it's leading up to something huge)

Parade's End (series 1 BBC 2, 4 episodes in and love the acting)

Downton Abbey (series 3, which started this week on iTV1 and was pretty awesome)

Revolution (NBC, could be good but I have a feeling it's going to be really dumbed down and cheesy like Terra Nova was. We'll see soon enough if J.J. Abrahms kills a potentially good storyline, like what he did with Lost.

America's Next Top Model ... I usually end up watching this as long as it doesn't turn into an MTV reality drama bitch fest.

I never used to watch much TV but now with a multi room DVR, I'm actually catching and keeping up with series shows. I never could keep up before bc I would miss so many episodes and give up. I'm finally in control.

Hockey (and everyone) - did you catch Revolution last night? Even though someone described it today as Hunger Games meets Robin Hood meets Jericho (and, yeah, I can see that...) I really liked it and I'll be tuning in next week.

Forgot about Downton Abbey - I don't gave iTV1 (is that satellite?) so I'll have to wait forever until it comes on WHYY.

Pretty sure iTV1 is Apple TV, could be wrong. Just going off of the "i" being small and Hockey's love for everything Apple.....lol

    Re: New Fall TV Shows

I watched Revolution and I'm willing to give it a couple of weeks. Why does the bad guy have to be so cute?

I'm curious about 666 Park Avenue, as I generally like supernatural series, so I'm hoping it doesn't suck.

Mostly - I need to see me some Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) and see how Dexter is going to handle things this year.

Season 1 of Downtown Abbey is available on Netflix, Jess.

iTV1 is a UK channel, Bellicose.

NOT AT ALL! I saw the intended pilot a couple of months ago via a survey site (I'm not violating confidentiality since it's coming out after all) and if it was ANYTHING like DH it would be garbage. It's actually interesting enough that I'd try to make a point of watching it, and I HATE most stuff on television.

I'm all caught up on DA Watched the first season on Netflix (or On Demand, I can't remember which) and the second season in real time. If I remember correctly, the British broadcast is well before the American - I want to say that Season 2 was over or almost over in the UK before it started on WHYY here in January, so I'm guessing it'll be the same this year.

Oh - and how could I forget The Walking Dead?

Downton Abbey Series 3 is broadcasting now in the UK on Channel iTV1. It broadcasts in the US on PBS in January. If you want to watch it now, you can use the iTVplayer at http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/video/?Filter=325024

According to my TV menu, the Revolution pilot episode airs tonight (WED 19 Sept) on NBC at 10pm. I have my DVR set to record it..... did I screw up and miss it??

Revolution was on Monday, I believe. It may be airing again?

Caught The New Normal last night. Apparently it's been on a few weeks. Oops. Anyway - I liked it. I mean, for a situational comedy that tries to teach people not to stereotype by having almost every single character become a walking, breathing, sterotypical caricature. It's no Modern Family.

PG- Good to know. That Lost/DH description was from the TVGuide recap of "Shows to Watch" or something of that nature. I've never seen DH, loved Lost, and will definitely give it a shot. If I can figure out when it comes out...

    Re: New Fall TV Shows

Gah. Everything is on Sundays! I'm going to have to catch some things On Demand. I think the DVR can record one show while I'm watching another or two shows if I'm not watching anything. HBO normally has Boardwalk Empire on demand or steady repeat throughout the week, so that might be my first live TV casualty.
