Has anyone ever taken a taxi from the Pike Creek area to Main Street and back? Are buses a feasible alternative? If need be can I call one of you guys to haul my drunk ass home some night? Any feed back would be appreciated.![]()

Gott weiẞ ich will kein Engel sein.
If my drunk ass is driving by that area, sure!

Hmmm, maybe a new business opportunity is in order. A trolley that runs back and forth every 30 minutes. For say 5 bucks a trip, only runs on Friday and Saturday nights. That has to be cheaper then a cab, faster and more direct then a bus.

I've never taken a taxi anywhere around here. There are bus stops in Pike Creek, but I have absolutely no familiarity with the routes. I believe there's a stop at the bottom of the hill where I live. Where are you moving, exactly? PM if you'd rather not post the specifics.

I'll be off Kirkwood Hwy, just north of Harmony Road.

Hmmm... Well, there are certainly more bus stops all along Kirkwood Highway. I'll try to scope them out. I don't know how late the buses run, though.

As that is a good idea, but I'm not so sure riding a bike drunk would be the best idea. Can't you get popped for dui too.

You know I was going to put that in there, but I figured you would come along with it, because of all the Rt. 1 biking stuff.

@Chase,I liked terri's practical advice to check the bus schedules and I bow respectfully to Bellicose's innovative idea to combine profit with pleasure by creating a new start-up 'trolley service'. Both are excellent. But, trying to get on the bus in a drunken , happy stupor might cause problems for the other passengers and bus driver so think twice before boarding. The local business idea is always good anywhere in all circumstances, but before it's created then Chase has the right idea in falling back on your own brain and pedal power!get a bicycle

You're SOL, I'm afraid. There's only SeaCoast cab in Newark. It'll cost you $30 one way to get a cab to main street.
You know, somebody could get a CDL and a taxi business license for $100, and combine pizza delivery with cab service. You could probably do pretty damn well between pizza tips, cab fare, and cab tips. Customers might have to wait a half hour for when you have a pizza delivery heading their way for a dropoff or a pickup, but hell, it'd be worth it.
The real problem would be insurance. You'd have to have a pretty good business to cover commercial insurance. And you'd be f**ked but good if you didn't have it and got in a wreck with injured passengers.
What, way too far or a bike ride. What is it like 5 miles, that's not that far. Coming back home would suck though. Pretty sure it is a little uphill coming back.
