Huge fire destroys Del. industrial garage, parts of Rt. 13 closed

Rescuers are on the scene of a fire and reported explosion at a garage in St. Georges, Delaware.
The call went out shortly before 11:00 a.m. for a fire at a machine repair garage at 1696 South DuPont Highway.
One person, a 22-year-old man, has been rushed to the hospital with 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his arms.


There are reports from the scene that there are propane tanks inside the building. Southbound Route 13 is closed at Cox Neck Road and northbound Route 13 is closed on the south side of the St. Georges Bridge.
Callers are reporting that the smoke can be seen from the Christiana Mall, some 12 miles away. source
