Del. Authorities Seize Illegal Fireworks, Arrests Pending
DOVER, Del.— The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office says deputies seized $2,000 worth of consumer fireworks from a Dover home Friday morning after an investigation revealed illegal fireworks were being stored on the property.
According to investigators, the property's owner had bought fireworks in another state and was storing the fireworks on the 2500 block of South Little Creek Road east of Dover. State Fire Marshal deputies and troopers from the Delaware State Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit said they confiscated nearly 40 boxes of consumer fireworks from the home without incident.
