WILMINGTON, Del.- Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden has announced that his office is sponsoring foreclosure open houses next week in locations statewide to assist homeowners who are behind on mortgage payments, facing foreclosure, or have questions about homeowner resources that are available. These free events, hosted by the Attorney General's Foreclosure Prevention Office, will be held at the following times and locations:

Walk-ins are encouraged at all of the events, according to the Attorney General's office. No RSVPs are necessary.
At each open house, staff from the Attorney General's office will discuss the foreclosure timeline, provide tips on avoiding foreclosure scams, review state and federal programs for homeowners, and brief Delawareans on the national mortgage settlement and the ongoing federal review of 2009-2010 foreclosures. Additionally, staff may be able to assist homeowners who are having difficulty reaching their lender to discuss repayment options or other alternatives to foreclosure.
