Unhappy Former Driver Charged in Sussex School Bus Arson

GEORGETOWN, Del. -- The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office says they've issued an warrant for the arrest of a former bus driver in connection with a school bus arson in Sussex County.
David C. Detwiler, 38, of Seaford, Del., faces several charges of arson and criminal trespass.
The Georgetown Fire Department responded to a call for a bus fire the morning of April 3 in the 20000 block of State Forest Road in Georgetown. There they found a bus engulfed in flames and smoke. The fire then spread to two other buses nearby.
There were no injuries reported from that fire in Georgetown. Damages have been estimated at $250,000.
Delaware State Police have told WBOC they also have a warrant out for Detwiler's arrest for a bomb threat at Howard T. Ennis Elementary on Tuesday. Troopers say Detwiler is currently hospitalized. The expect to take him into custody when he is released.
Detailer was recently behind bars on charges stemming from bomb threats police say he made at two schools in March.
The first threat, police say, was called in to Howard T. Ennis Elementary on March 6. One week later, a second bomb threat was made at Georgetown Elementary. Those schools were evacuated and no bombs were found.
The Indian River School District says Detwiler was hired by a contractor in September and drove buses for the district. He is no longer drives buses for the District.
Delaware State Police say Detailer posted $6,000 bail after the incident.
