well that was my bad, and then some

explanation:

i really needed to upgrade the sites in order to upgrade the server. for a bunch of technical reasons not related to the operation of the board here.

so i tried to upgrade the site sunday before last, the day before i was shipped down to VA to work for my job. im still in VA right now, in a hotel.

the site broke bad when i attempted the upgrade, crashed the database beyond repair. i had a backup though...simple enough...not

the database was too big for me, with just a bit of server admin experience, to upload.

so my super awesome friend Lenny just did his server admin magic and we are back in business....for the most part.

some of the files on the server changed when i did the upgrade, so if i enabled the plugins for the site (all those cool features like thanks buttons, etc) it will break the site right now. so we are running basically stock vbulletin until i get the official upgrades pushed through.



tldr version: i was in a hurry, messed up, got in a jam, and we are back



lastly, we WILL be upgrading to the new version soon, just a matter of me getting my ducks back in a row, and getting my butt back to Delaware.

GL, I already posted the good news on Topix, several of us were communicating on that site, a far cry from TD by the way! Chase, no matter what happened, we knew TD would be back. A couple ex-friends tried to spread the rumor that the FCC had shut you down. No one believed a word of it BTW. Good to be back and it was worth the wait.

RIOT is not exactly the first word that came to mind, but it will do. I'm just glad to be back and out of the asylum! The patients are running that one.

site is upgraded officially now. i am actually riding in the car, my co-worker is driving, on our way home from VA. just finished it all up. the site will have this ugly template for a bit till i can update that, and the extra features we had are disabled right now until i can sort those out, but this is the new site.

there are some cool new or expanded features like the groups are better now and such, check it out. if you see a problem please report it.

I like the new look, Chase, also too, I'm glad you moved the TOP button back to the bottom of the thread, rather than the bottom of the page. The first unread button, and the new post button are in a conspicuous place. These things make it feel like home, Thx
