Brandywine Prime @ The Chadds Ford Inn

Chadds Ford Restaurant Catering, Rehearsal Dinners, Brunch

The wife and I headed out to Brandywine Prime @ The Chadds Ford Inn last night, our first time there since it was Brandywine Prime.

Located just over the PA/DE line in Chadds Ford on Route 1.

I have to say that the meal and the whole dining experience was excellent. Our server was very attentive and the food was excellent.

The wife had the filet mignon while I had the fish of the day - Red Snapper. Both were delicious. For desert I had the Banana Fosters Bread Puddin and the wife had creme brule.

If you like a nice steakhouse the Brandywine Prime @ The Chadds Ford Inn is worth checking out

Have the prices gone down? We were there a few times when it first opened and while the food was ok, we thought it was very expensive. Someone said that the Cafe (?) was really nice. I'm not sure what that is (it was dinner party talk so I may not have all the details), since the wooden Wawa closed we seldom head up that way. I also heard that The Gables had changed hands. Anyone been there lately?

If you are budget conscience, you probably don't want to visit Chef Dan's places too often - Prime, Deep Blue, Toscana and the others...if you're a foodie, his places are among the best in the area - there aren't that many places that serve USDA Prime cuts. However, he does offer some good deals in the lounges - especially at happy hour - Friday night 1/2 price burgers are always a treat!
