I'm connecting my own server

Just for shits and giggles, I downloaded the LAMP VM I linked to and imported it. Here is a screen shot of it running (appox. 15 minutes including download) :

Sometimes a picture is worth 1,000 words.
As I thought, it is Ubunu. The web admin app is Webmin, and everything you need is 'in there' (like Ragoo).
The black screen to the lower left is the Linux machine running in the VirtualBox virtual machine, the web page is the admin app, running on the host machine.
Pretty much went 'by the numbers' in that blog post.
By the by, you can do the same with windows, but you just can not download a free pre configured appliance, you would have to use your own Windows license to install the virtual machine.

A little difficult to do being the web only teases you into spending money. Every link posted was only teasers to buy their program. I was doing better writing my own programs..But thanks for the help..

I spent nothing on this but my time. Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Wordpress are all free.

wordpress doesn't download right in opera nor PHP You don't get full access on any of the above unless you buy whole package I have wordpress already with a few sites....At this point all I have to do is build homepage and link.
