Delaware State Police Robbery Unit detectives have released surveillance photographs of two male suspects wanted in connection with the strong arm robbery of a Newark man on Monday.

The incident occurred at 6:25 p.m. as the victim was walking through the parking lot of the Glendale Plaza Shopping Center in the 1100 block of Pulaski Highway (Route 40) in Bear. The victim was approached from behind by two males. The men grabbed him and removed his cellular phone and cash.

The suspects then threw the victim to the ground before fleeing the area in an unknown direction. The victim was slightly injured; but refused medical treatment. Detectives are asking anyone who may have any information as to the identity of the pictured suspects to contact the robbery unit at Troop 2 at 302-834-2630 ext. 6. Individuals may also provide a tip by texting keyword “DSP” plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES).
