Felton man dies of stab wounds
The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is seeking a suspect in the stabbing death of a Felton man early Saturday morning.
The investigation began at approximately 1:30 a.m., Saturday morning after officers from the Camden, Del. Police Department were sent to the intersection of U.S. Route 13, and Del. Route 10 in Camden, Kent County, for the report of a fight.
Upon arrival, it was learned that two victims from the altercation had left the scene and had gone to Kent General Hospital where one of the victims, Tevin R. Perry, 20, died from apparent knife wounds. It was also learned that another man, 20 from Dover had also suffered knife wounds during the altercation. He was treated and released. The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit were then asked to assume the investigation.
Detectives learned that the two victims had been at a party located on Filbert Street in Wyoming, Del. earlier in the morning. The victims then left the party in a car with two other individuals. When they reached the intersection of Routes 13 and 10 where they were confronted by a group of individuals in a second vehicle occurred with both victims being stabbed by an unknown suspect. The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victims then went to Kent General Hospital .
Perry's body was turned over to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner's Office where an autopsy will be performed.
