A couple faces charges in connection with an armed room invasion at the Super Lodge Motel.

It happened last night at the Superlodge on West Avenue in New Castle.

Police say 20-year-old Tyree Lee of Newark and Nialeva Titus of Wilmington knocked on a door of a room, and asked about tattoos the male victim was known to provide in the room.

When he opened the door, Lee allegedly struck the victim with a tire iron. A violent struggled continued. At least two people were stabbed -- one suspect and one victim.

The suspects fled with nothing and later crashed their car on Wilmington's Winchester Bridge. That's where they were arrested.

Lee will be formally charged once he's released from Christiana Hospital.

Titus is being held on $64,000 bail on a host of charges.
