New Castle County Police are currently investigating a shooting that has left a 27 year-old man hospitalized with gunshot wounds to his lower body.


On Thursday, November 3, at 8:46 p.m., County Police responded to the unit block of Freedom Trail in the community of Saddlebrook Townhouses to investigate a shooting. Police learned that the victim had been transported by a friend to the Christiana Hospital after sustaining non-life threatening gunshot wounds to his lower body.



The investigation revealed that the victim had driven to the area and was parked along the roadway. As the victim was sitting in his car, three unknown male subjects approached the vehicle and shots were fired. The victim was struck several times and the gunman then fled with the victim’s vehicle.
The suspects are described as black males between the ages of 17-21, wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and jeans.
