WILMINGTON, Del.- Authorities say a 20-year-old Newark man who works as a high school custodian is facing charges of dealing in child pornography following an undercover investigation.
The Delaware Department of Justice announced Friday that Catlin Carl Lathem was taken into custody after a search of his home on Tuesday, Sept. 27 uncovered more than 50 video files of child pornography on his computers.
Officials said Lathem works part-time as a custodian and groundskeeper at Red Lion Christian Academy, a private school in Bear with students in preschool through 12th grade.
Lathem is charged with 25 counts of dealing in child pornography and is being held in the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna in lieu of $625,000 bail.
