New to the forum and biking. Decided I wanted something for light trails and road so I picked up a Raleigh Talus 4.0. Since I haven't been on a bike in a while, only using it on blacktop surfaces at the moment. Probably not as hardcore as you other gents, but I figure I have to start somewhere.
NormH3 - welcome to talkdelaware.com Glad to have you here.
maybe someone needs to arrange a TD biking meet and greet.

NormH3, welcome, and that bike was in the running when I bought mine not too long ago. Nice Bike, and Solid too!
lol...GL Meet and greet....

First video ever, so any feedback would be awesome! Lots of different music and some language so, if the kiddies are around I would turn the music down some. 8 minutes long, so be forewarned. I am the one with the red pack on. For the most part, the leader....lol
Once I get done editing today's run, I will post it as well. Should be done with it by the weekend. Maybe a little shorter and less songs.
Oh also note, that today's footage is mostly helmet cam (my helmet), and very little bike cam, which is what all of this video is.

Kewl video. I would have hit a tree. Don't think I'm quite ready for that. Did a little over 9 miles on hard surface tonight.
Believe it or not, that was the first time I was ever on some single track.
Thanks for the Props too!
Just to let you know, not sure where you are located, but Glasgow Park has some off the beaten path trails. You can ride the pavement and hit some not too bad trails. Just to get your feet wet. I would imagine C&D canal would not be too bad as well. You know to get used to riding on dirt, sand, gravel (Fire Road), rocks...etc

very cool video Bell, looks fun
No stock Photo anymore, my foot whip! Will get a better pic of it with the new pedals on. The one I took today is kind of crappy.

I'm in Newark. Had been reading some online reviews on Lums Pond and some had said the trails are pretty beat up. I walk at Glasgow from time to time, but didnt realize there were bike trails as well. When its crowded down there its a bit tough to ride on the regular path.
Not really on topic but still cool:

*sigh*
Now I'm missing my BMX Freestylin' days.... Dirt trails, whoop-de-doos, tabletop ramps, quarter pipes, half pipes, ground stunts....
*sigh*

Dave it is fixed, sorry must have accidentally changed the settings before I posted it. Was told about it this morning at 7, so that was when I fixed it. Sorry.
Yeah off the paved path, there are little woods trails, you will miss them if you are not looking for them. Think they are named, bot sure though. Want to say one of them is called "Freedom Trail", but I could be wrong.
The only beat up stuff I seen at Lums was the over exposed roots, but that seems typical. Are they a little more exposed then I have seen at White Clay. Yeah, but it just adds a little more challenge. Lums is a good trail to get your legs on, and your feet wet with woods trails.
Although it says Walking Trail, I will check into it, before I go giving out bad advice. Know I heard of people riding on them, just not sure if it is 100% allowed. Will get back to you.

Either day (or whichever one doesn't include rain), preferably morning before it gets too hot. I'm planning on doing a little reconnaissance on a few boundary monuments as well, and some photography.
Anyone here ride bike in the winter? I'd like to do a little more of that this year again, too.

Morning works for me, me no likey the heat either. Although I am seeing the weather looks pretty decent (with the exception of maybe some rain), for the weekend.
Winter riding, thinking about it, since it gives me more riding time, and not too mention I would be able to do a little harder trail. Since I could see what is coming up ahead for the most part.
