So, I need to hit the DMV today sometime to renew my registration. And I'll have to do the drive-thru inspection, too. I had to be up north this morning to drop my kids off, so I went to work. But I'm thinking I should have gone right to the DMV this morning instead of going later.
When is the best time to go to the DMV today, last day of the month? (And don't say "yesterday," or "never" - I already know that).
Should I go before lunch, during lunch, late in the afternoon, or what?

I always like to be there first thing in the morning when they open. I just went a couple weeks ago to have my license renewed and was pretty much in and out.

Yeah, if I didn't have my kids overnight and have to take them home this morning first, I would have done that.
I looked at the online video of the waiting areas. I'm NOT going now. Wow.

There's nobody in the inspection lanes at New Castle or Wilmington. I'd bust a move over there ASAP

I'll tell you when not to go. The one day during the week they're open late (I think, Wednesdays). It's a madhouse after 4.

Well, I ended up deciding to leave shortly after lunch started. I got there around 12:35 and only had to wait for two cars ahead of me in the inspection lanes.
The longest wait was the drive-through pay lanes. I had forgotten about them, since I usually have to go inside to pay by CC. But I had cash this time.
It certainly wasn't as busy as I expected, considering it was the end of the month.
