Needed: Contractor Recommendations

So, the other half and I bought a house earlier in the year and are in the process of getting the names of reputable contractors to do some small projects that are out of the range of our expertise (the largest project is tearing out a load-bearing wall between two rooms on the first floor).

We're looking for people with a good reputation, who are on good terms with county building inspectors (a portion of the work will require a building permit), and who are bonded and insured. Cost, while a factor, is not the big issue - the bigger issue is finding someone who won't screw us halfway through the job.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

We used Silverside Construction to convert a screened porch into a family room. They did a great job. Once they got started, things moved fairly quickly.
