cigarettes are bad but nicotine is the real enemy? no not really.

but we have had this discussion before, so im not going to do it again....agree to disagree i suppose.

the food flavor, i know it seems gross, even to smokers, but they are actually very good if you try them. i know some vapers that do not "vape food" ever, but most do and they enjoy it.

Yeah, there will be no starting up a bad habit here. I'm only seeking knowledge.

So a big question is this: Is vaping supposed to be a means to quit smoking, or is it simply a more affordable alternative to smoking?

they are not supposed to be sold or marketed as a smoking cessation system or a SAFER alternative (not suppose to make any medical claims).

but more of simply an alternative to smoking.

may be seen also as a NRT, nicotine replacement therapy.

OK, that makes sense. It's an alternative to smoking. I guess the technology is still too new to even have any medical claims to it? Have there been any medical trials or studies done on vaping?

I'm curious if someone who is a heavy smoker would even want to try vaping, and if they did, if they'd "convert" to vaping and drop the smoking habit?

Conversely, I'm curious if someone who has never smoked before would try vaping first, and like it so much that they would "step up" to smoking regular cigarettes, and if they'd prefer that?

there are ten of 1000's of people, both heavy and light smokers, that have converted successfully and are enjoying a better life. visit this forum.

there are many studies being done all the time, they are posted to that forum in the education and studies sections.

i dont know that i have ever heard of a person STARTING on ecigs and moving to real cigs but i guess its possible.

Personally I'm trying to get off nicotine all together. That's my goal. God knows I've tried everything else, including being hypnotized. And as to the food flavors I love the toffee flavor. I want to try a chocolate one too. But the flavor just helps me not drink soda or coffee, I personally hate the taste of a cigarette so I would always have something to drink on hand too. I also like the flavor so I feel like I'm eating a piece of candy without the calories....that's a double win since weight gain is often part of smoking and I'm not a skinny mini to begin with
