This restaurant is a "neighbor" to my wife's ex-supervisor's laundromat where she helps out sometimes. The owner of the restaurant is a regular customer, and I've gotten to see the menu, check out his restaurant and grocery store, and talk with him and another employee a little.
Oasis is a Middle Eastern restaurant and Halal (think "Kosher" but for Middle Eastern culture) market. The right side of the place is the restaurant, complete with ample eating area (tables/chairs only), a display case for food, ordering counter, and towards the back is a buffet setup for their weekend lunch buffet. The left side consists of their market (grocery store) with shelves and refrigerators full of Middle Eastern items, including all kinds of spices/ingredients for making things at home, drinks, cheese, desserts, main dish items, etc. In the back is a fresh produce and butcher shop.
The entire place looked very clean, and the owner and employees are very friendly and willing to help and answer questions.
My wife and I tried their chicken Shawarma (I think that's how it's spelled? - We call it "sham-wow" because it's easier) sandwich, which is seasoned chicken, veggies, a sauce, wrapped in a nice pita bread. We went with the non-spicy version. We got them "to go" and had them when we got home. The sandwiches were delicious!! We'd definitely get those sandwiches again, and try other stuff.
I rate this place 5 stars out of 5, for cleanliness, taste of food, ownership and friendliness quality, and overall experience.
Check them out!
