I meant it's the day we have planned to throw my mom her surprise birthday party. She still has no clue. But I feel so bad because she is really upset thinking that we aren't doing anything special for her 60th. She threw a big bash for my dad's 60th and she was hoping we'd do something for hers. I hope she forgives us in the end, but I feel like crap right now for hurting her feelings. She is the type of mom that ALWAYS gets the family together for every birthday and gets a cake and ice cream. Grandkids she helps with their parties, but for my brother, sisters and mine she has us all over her house for a family night. I'm going to feel like such a jerk until her actual party.

I had an idea Mo3... get her a fistful of flowers from the grocery store or a produce stand. Give her a great big hug and tell her you love her when you give them to her "just because" anytime BEFORE the event. That way she'll see that you love her and she will still never suspect what's going on. She may even think "Well, at least SOMEONE gave me flowers! even if it's not on my birthday - maybe she just forgot" *I love doing things like this - have a GREAT surprise party*
