Wink How to employ a part time assistant?

    Hi people, Me again.

I want to employ a person who can help me to built & manage my online store.
Then maybe randomly do some papers job & take phone calls for inquiry.
We should sometimes have voice or video conversation through Skype.

    How do you call this?
    assistant? secretary?or consultant?

Where would be a good place to find such a person through internet in Delaware?

Welcome to give me some suggestion.

I have worked with several marketing consultants, does this need to be local to Delaware?
    Some of my experiences :
Generally speaking, the skill set to set up an e-commerce site is priced a bit above front line phone support, you might want to consider splitting those requirements.
You would also do well to buy on the order of 1/2 to a dozen hours of a graphic artist's time. The public may not know what goes into making a site look professional and uniform but they can tell when one isn't.
Most of the marketing types seem to be in love with the Joomla! CMS system today, Drupal is another platform (a bit older and more baroque but better quality code IMO).
A good web marketeer will fill you in on the metrics and devices employed in the online business world, e.g. 1) you will want to pose a "call to action" as soon as you can in your interaction with the customer, 2) if you can give something away do that ASAP in your interaction too, 3) build community if possible, etc.and so on 4) capacity planning for success but be prepared to wait. etc and so on.

    just my $.02

Many thanks for generously sharing your gorgeous opinions. Yeah I agree most of your points. They look very useful in retail sale market. It's very nice to meet you here, & I hope we could discuss further things to get clearer views.

What I'm doing now is more of B2B E-Commerce, thus the job would be like to have a local person who can stay in DE state to help me receive inquiries, then give me feedback of local market in spare time. I'd be glad to have an experienced person to arrange the whole thing. But the job could be not too complicated, and to be native is very necessary. At least the person needs to be there when I want some local assistant like to fax or receive calls.

I'll send you my personal contact infos and hope we can keep in touch.

I am in Cecil County Maryland and a Virtual Assistant. I even have a client in Washington State. He has been my client for over a year now.

    Many thanks.

I've heard the laws in DE ask me have to work with native DE people because I am a foreigner.
Not sure if it's true. Otherwise I'd glad to work with you people.

And, based on my condition, I would love to work with people who stay at home mostly, or who has stable contacts.

I think more people would see you ad on Craigslist .
www.theguide.com would cost you . It is not only on the net but has a great print circulation in lower Delaware.
