I spent an hour on hold w/ Verizon last night. I'm coming up on three and a half hours on hold just now tonight. And this is just to get a fucking cable box activated. I'm slightly less than satisfied with their customer service.

I'll second that. Cracker, I've always activated my cable boxes on the internet through live chat. It usually takes about 20 minutes. If it's a new modem, that's another story.

They haven't been to bad but I'm real close doing the antenna thing. The prices are getting outrageous and I've used up all my "bitch" plan discounts. Have to keep the internet though.

It was just a complete series of screw ups where if anyone had done their job correctly there wouldn't have been an issue. Had the girl at the brick and mortar store given me the activation code I could have done it myself. Had the first tech support person known what he was doing I could have given him an order number and he could have activated the box.

What pissed me off the most was the dysfunction and passing the buck. I get LOTS misdirected calls at work that have nothing to do with me or my department where I have no idea how to help the person. The difference is that I take ownership of the problem, give the person my name and direct number and I don't stop until I'm satisfied that their issue has been resolved.

The one person who really tried to help me out was hindered by a complete lack of communication b/n departments. He was as screwed trying to call into tech support as I was.

I just take pride in my work and it gets on my nerves when others don't.

Same trainers must train the folks at Mediacom. Most of the people answering the phones have NO CLUE. And then sometimes we hit a person who is quite capable and gets things done.

So far going to DMV twice for getting and renewing my license. Since I have lived in DE, I have yet to have any issue at all. Have barely waited for anything, think the longest it has taken me, is about 20 minutes.

Only issue I have had is the picture on my current license. It's horrendous, I look drunk, stoned, and about 200 pounds heavier, with 4 turkey gobble necks.....lol

I have yet to experience what everyone talks about, and I am glad that is the case so far.
