    Copyright ? Ownership ?

Is it legal? Ethical ? to copy a post from one form and post it on another? I would like to copy jtan's post about the Children's Museum and post it on Trip Advisor. I'm not sure if that is proper.

Technically, that post is owned by TalkDelaware (per the TOS we each "sign" when we get our logins).

I think, though, if it is properly attributed, there's no ethical issue with respect to reposting something put on a public forum. And, no, it's not copyrighted.

If i get something from one forum and post to another, for example from here and post it on TalkPa.net, I will let the member know that I am doing that as a courtesy.

i might PM longnecker and say this is a great post and I borrowed it to start a conversation on Talkpa. I'll also mention over there that I took it from here.

Yup, usually giving credit where it is due is all you need.

Since there certainly are different opinions I posted a link to the thread properly noting it is Talk Delaware.
