A 66-year-old woman and her dog survived a fire this afternoon that gutted much of her house and reduced her garage to a pile of black rubble.
While the cause of the fire is unknown, investigators said the blaze started in the garage and spread to the rest of the home at Hunters Mill Estates east of Harbeson.
Neighbors helped Barbara Weaver and her Dodson, Barney, get out of the house and moved her car out of harms way.
A 911 call came in at 11:52 a.m.. Volunteers had the blaze under control in about 30 minutes, said Milton Fire Chief Lynn Rogers, adding that the billowing smoke was visible from miles away. http://www.delawareonline.com/apps/p.../NEWS/70409034

Re: House Fire
I'm glad she was alright, but it's such a shame.
Sometimes I feel just like Sharpay from High School Musical....
"Don't you see that bigger is better and better is bigger. A little bit is never enough!!! No! No! No! I want it all!"
Some people choose to remain in the past with life, love and happiness; never really exploring the opportunity of a new day. To those I say: Build a bridge, Get over it, and Move on. A new life awaits you just around the bend....
