Lol, it was my attempt at a joke. Since it was good, I was implying Curly didn't use sedation

    All the following happened:
General anesthesia has many purposes including:

    1. Analgesia — loss of response to pain,
    2. Amnesia — loss of memory, big time
    3. Immobility — loss of motor reflexes,
    4. Hypnosis — loss of consciousness, it was great, best sleep I had in awhile
    5. Skeletal muscle relaxation.

I don't remember the doctor even speaking with me and the wife afterward, but apparently I asked him for a pizza and also if he found the remote. The procedure was the easy part.

The night before I never realized how many food commercials there are.

Yes, I don't remember a thing. It was so frikken easy. I was drinking a couple coldies later that night. The prep is the killer.

This is what I've been told to. The procedure is the easy part. Every one that I've known that had one has never ever felt a thing during the procedure, or even been awake during it. The two days prior are killer though. Before the procedure, you'll probably need to have two days completely off from work and just about anything else actually

I think it's awesome you guys are spreading out your colonoscopies by a few years.

Think about both of you going through "prep time" would've done to our economy. Imagine all that unsold beer...

    Re: What makes you smile?

Last year, my (then) 2 y.o. daughter started pre-school. All year, her younger brother would go with her when she got dropped off at school. He wanted to stay and play every time.

This year, they both get to go. She in the 3's and he in the 2's. Today was their first day.

Just got a call from Mrs. KL. His teacher was amazed at how advanced he is for his age. And he did extremely well with the other kids. And...he loves it

    awwww...how cute is that!

America is an idea, but it's an idea that brings with it some baggage, like power brings responsibility. It's an idea that brings with it equality, but equality even though it's the highest calling, is the hardest to reach. The idea that anything is possible, that's one of the reasons why I'm a fan of America. - Bono, Commencement University of Pennsylvania May 17, 2004

This is a news item but it has got to make you smile

Iowa politician gives right speech to the wrong party

An Iowa Republican running for Congress, by all accounts, gave a pretty good stump speech before the party convention this weekend at the Monroe County Courthouse.
It was just the wrong party's convention, the Quad-City Times reports.
It turns out that the Democrats were also meeting Saturday in the same building in Albia, Iowa, two hours earlier than the GOP.
Dan Dolan, who made 10 speeches around the state Saturday, says his staffer had asked the crowd when they arrived if he could speak, and when he finished, "a guy raises his hand and says, 'I think you want to talk to the Republicans.'"
Dolan says everyone was nice about the mixup, but now he asks, "Is this the Republican convention?" before he starts talking.
