A couple of friends and I went recently and driving up to it, there is not much to really say. It doesn't look like much from the outside but then again, where and what along Philadelphia Pike looks good?

The inside was just OK. Not spectacular not bad but just OK. Mazzella's on Philly Pike has the same sort of decor.

I thought I read somewhere that the place was covered with pics of Goodfella's Movie pics and there might have been about 12 pictures on 2 walls that I saw. But to be fair, there is a lot of glass and you can't really hang pictures on glass.

We were greeted immediately and seated quickly. The waitress took our drink order and I asked for Iced Tea. The menu states that it is Fresh Brewed Iced Tea and maybe at one point it was, like at Lunch Time, but for dinner it was anything but fresh. It was bitter and tasted old.

My dinner salad arrived and it was a mixed greens salad which looked like it was a bag salad mix. It too looked like it was an old salad as many of the greens were wilted and black. Too many were black and disgusting. It didn't even look like they rinsed the salad mix either. I picked a lot of the ugly greens out and there was not much left to my salad. I couldn't even eat it at that point. I set it aside and the waitress came over and removed my salad and the plate of picked out greens and didn't even bother to ask why my salad was not eaten and why the greens (that is too generous of a term, they were more like blacks and browns) were set aside. She didn't seem phased, bothered or care.

The soup, Pasta Fagioli was decent.

I got stuffed shells, my eating companion got a pizza and another got a Chef salad (menu stated "Fresh Lettuce").

The Chef Salad was not with fresh Lettuce. It had all the same problems that my dinner salad had. By eating companion couldn't eat it and picked out the bad and sickening greens. Again, when the waitress arrived she didn't ask any questions about why the salad wasn't eaten or picked apart.

My shells were OK. In my opinion, the sauce was a bit too bitter for my taste. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. It really tasted like any box of frozen stuffed shells you can buy in the Acme.

I did get to taste the pizza and found it to me tasty. This was probably the best thing we ate from Goodfellas. But, there are other pizza places that outdo this place in the pizza department.

Overall, I was very very disappointed in this place. After all the posting Johnnie23g did about this place I was really looking forward to a great experience only to leave there highly disappointed. Sorry Johnnie, your place has a long way to go.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. At this point in time, it is not a place that is worth the time or money.

I tried Goodfellas. It was better than I thought it would be. I had the penne vodka. It was very good, My girl had the spag with red sauce. She said the Meatballs and suace is better than her grandmoms who I thinks makes the best sauce. So try them out and see. Thanks goodfellas for the good food and we will be back.
