    Exclamation Testing NEW Mobile style

Hey all, I have been surfing a lot more from my phone lately and they mobile style we have been using just wasnt doing it for me anymore. It is cluttered and the links are tiny, etc.

So I have been working on a new style and would like to get some feedback from the people here.

click this link while logged in on your mobile device, phone, etc.

at the bottom left there is a link for "normal version" if you get stuck on the mobile style

let me know what you all think, colors, layout, features, etc.

you MIGHT find some spanish words in there, i think i got them all but if you see one LMK, the original developer of this style was spanish.

I made some pictures showing some things you should see on the mobile style.

im going to play with it a little more, but my first impression is it's clean, not cluttered, almost simple, good if you what to get right down to buisness, you dont get the full users profile i didnt see where you can leave a visitor's message, but i did see Private messages.

yeah most of the usercp was cut out cause you usually aren't changing your options and stuff on the go.

seems like some of the profile stuff is broke, showing no avatar for poeple and no addtnl info either...

this is a work in progress, but i like it so far.

remember this is only to be used on mobile devices, our regular style will not be changing

honestly i like the fact that its simple and clean, others may not, to me its less cluttered and a clean bright look thats easy to read.i saw normal version tab and clicked it, but i think i preferred the new version look, the onlt down side to me is no vistior messages.

    Re: Testing NEW Mobile style

Im glad you all like it, i have been working on it the last few days.

It took a while to get rid of all the spanish words, there are still a few stagglers

it took a while to get the colors right and im still working on that and the button design

this style is made to be viewed on a "webkit" browser which most all new smartphones have (except blackberry but they will get it soon) so all iphones, android, etc, etc, should view it perfectly.

Stanard browsers have a hard time seeing some buttons and the rounded corners.

I am trying to find a coder to help me with a few things like giving us a "first unread post" link on the new posts result page. So instead of clicking the thread and then clicking last page it pops to the first new/unread post...that imo is a must for a mobile template. (our ugly blue one does this, it's nice)

so yeah, it's getting there....the default ugly blue template is still default if you prefer it, when this one is done though it will replace that.

    I like it.

one suggestion - can there be a today's posts? sometimes I would like to see a thread that was posted today but it is not necessarily a new thread.

is there a way to go straight to the first new post in the thread instead of the very first one that you may have read already?

    Re: Testing NEW Mobile style

i am working on that Jackie, and I just redid the whole menu system with a new style popup. touch the menu in the header and you should get a overlay of menu choices.

    Re: Testing NEW Mobile style

what phone or browser are you using Mr. Max? you are seeing the new mobile style right (like shown 2 posts above in attachment)

you should definitely be able to respond as long as you are logged in.

new posts button pops up from hitting the menu button in the top tight of the header (on the mobile stlye)
