    Rehoboth Boardwalk

REHOBOTH BEACH — An eight-block section of the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk has reopened.

The renovated part, which runs from Laurel Street to Prospect Street, was reopened on Thursday for walkers, joggers and bikers. The section had closed in September.

Renovations include new wooden decking, lighting, fencing, water fountains and foot showers.

Final touches, such as dune fencing and landscaping, will be done next week.

The boardwalk from Rehoboth Avenue north to Surf Avenue remains closed as work continues

Did you work for these guys before? Sounds a little personal.

Sorry to hear that happened to you. I can understand your frustration. If I were you, I wouldn't be bringing up names. That can get you in trouble. Sounds to me your boss is saving money by hiring lowlifes for cheap pay. It'll catch up to him sooner or later. Ever think of opening your own business? Damn, went off topic again.

there are 3 different rates in construction. private, state, fed/school. private is your base pay usually for building new developments for privitized companies. state is for state contracts that the state sets a min wage for all trades. same with fed/school but their rates are super high. give you idea private operator rate is about $20 per hour, state is about $28-30 while fed/school is $48-50. i am multi-trade construction worker. I can do labor, operator, carpentar, concrete finisher, and pipelayer. I was working on a state scale job as operator then cause i passed the drug test they sent me to the private job ( at Kent General Hosp ) as a labor. i went from appox $28p/h down to appox $15p/h. also the state job included some overtime and the hospitial was straight 40hours no OT allowed.
