REHOBOTH BEACH — An eight-block section of the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk has reopened.
The renovated part, which runs from Laurel Street to Prospect Street, was reopened on Thursday for walkers, joggers and bikers. The section had closed in September.
Renovations include new wooden decking, lighting, fencing, water fountains and foot showers.
Final touches, such as dune fencing and landscaping, will be done next week.
The boardwalk from Rehoboth Avenue north to Surf Avenue remains closed as work continues
