    Electronic Cigarettes - Vaping

If you have walked through Christiana Mall you have probably seen the kiosk where people sell/smoke the e-cigarettes.

I always thought it was odd myself, but interesting too...

Well I just so happen to be reading some ASOTV Reviews and stumbled across Grimaces review of the e-cigarettes.

So if you see the comments there, he offered his up for a test drive which i accepted.

i am totally smoking in my office right now, that is pretty cool in and of itself.

anyone try these? wondering about it? i have had it about a hour now, ill write more when i try it a bit.

i want to quit smoking, and if this helps then that is just awesome.

    Re: Electronic Cigarettes

i saw the CBS link earlier, the doc has no idea, nothing proving anything there...

the spartan link is all about not noting on the cartridge how much nicotine is in them, which they do...

and the 3rd links story got totally discredited by the first commenter.

i am not gonna go blindly defending anything, i did read up quite a bit before trying this out thanks to Grimace. if I like it and i dont find any real damning reports i might buy one for myself.

Chase.... didn't you do that Chantrix? I guess it didn't work or did you not want to quit?

Chantix worked pretty good, but I do not think i was ready to quit.

If you are really ready to quit, i would suggest chantix, definitely helped me some...

Quiting isn't hard. Back in the day when I smoked I was able to quit anytime I wanted. Some times twice in the same day.

    Re: Electronic Cigarettes

The electronic cigarettes are peddled not as smoking cessation devices, but as the safer alternative to smoking.

Maybe I'm the exception to the rule... who knows?

But, after a week or two of using the e-cigarette, I was "smoking" the equivalent of two cigarettes a day.

After a month, I was down to a puff or two a day.

And today, I let Chase take my e-cig for a test drive.

I would have got rid of it completely, but I hear that sometimes people who haven't smoked in months.... years, even.... one day walk into a 7-11, buy a pack of Camels, and spike right back up to a pack a day.

So, I'll hold onto mine, just in case the urge ever strikes.

But, as of right now, haven't had a cigarette or anything resembling one for a couple of days, and no desire to.

This would have been unthinkable just a few months before.

    I'd recommend them to anyone.

    Re: Electronic Cigarettes

I heard that the vapors are more harmful than actually smoking. I also heard that the stuff you put in them has a skull and cross bones on it. Maybe that is just one specific one. Never smoked anything, and never will! Wifey quit cold turkey around 5 years ago. You ahve to have the desire to quit, because if not you won't. I know people that quit, but whenever they are around someone who smokes, they want to stand near them, so they can get the smell. Which I think is just disgusting! For them they quit for money reasons, so they really did not want to quit. So they still have the cravings! You also have to quit for yourself, not for anyone else. Although you should think of your kids, when you are quitting. I mean you would want to be around for a very long time to see you kids grow up, and have kids themselves, get married, graduate high school, graduate college. I know I am going to contradict myself here, but you really should quit for your kids, especially if you smoke around them. Because then that is just wrong on a whole nother level!

I quit for months... then started right back up again. I am not back to smoking 2 packs a day (more like about a half pack a day), but I know I need to quit for real. It is killing my health and my finances.

    Re: Electronic Cigarettes

ok so i bought a kit from the mall kiosk for the electronic cigarette now. i have 2 brand new batteries, and atomizer, and like 30 cartridges. when i borrowed grimaces it didn't work that great for me and i wasn't getting good pulls off of it so it was kinda a pain to smoke, seemed like work and not much gratification.

this new one i got works real good, i can blow smoke rings with it and it is pretty gratifying. i haven't smoked a cigarette in over 12 hours now which is pretty much a record for me....it's going pretty good.

    Nice work, Chase!

I've been giving my electronic cigarette a rest for the past few weeks.

I've smoked a little bit ... but nothing like before.

Bought three packs of cigarettes since December... and all of those since the start of June.

I enjoy cigarettes again (smoking a few a day because I like to, not because I feel a need to), and if the enjoyment doesn't last, I know I can pick up the e-cig and stop for a few months.

    Re: Electronic Cigarettes

I used hypnosis to stop smoking. It worked for me with and I have not smoked in about 10 years. It also worked for my sisters.

The guy that did it here in DE has moved but this link seems to bring up the same type of hypnosis experience I had.
