Where can I get it?
Where can I get it?
Valle Pizza/Cucina in Pike Creek Shopping Center.
Deerhead Hot Dogs on Md Ave.
Maryland Ave sub shop by the Blue Rocks stadium.
Any one of those is EXCELLENT.
If I had to choose, Valle's cheesesteak, with an order of whole hot cherry peppers on the side, would be my choice.
Malin's Market in newark, on 896, down from chrysler across from matildas/mcdonalds.
Thanks, I'm in the mood for a good cheesesteak for lunch and I don't want to drive to Philly!
3D's in new castle has a mean buffalo chic cheesesteak!!
Also I really like capriotti's cheesesteaks. Now I want one lol
Oh SNAP!

I was just gonna mention 3 DDD's
And Cap's makes a damn good steak sandwich. Like everything else they make.
And, I hate to say this, because I like Casapulla's, but....their steaks, while featuring a lot of meat and definitely one of the more affordable cheesesteaks in town....are too tough. The meat is nowhere near as juicy or tender as their competitors.
Once again... 3DDD's FTW!!!!
Malin's is GREAT for their subs...
But for cheese steaks.... 3DDD's is the way to go....
Oh...
I'm eating leftover 3DDD's cheese steak from last night,
so I'm getting a kick outta this thread....
claymont steak shop, philly pike, or the new location elkton rd @ amstel rd in newark.
any of the other places mentioned are good too.
I fully support the arrest and deportation of all
illegal immigrants.
Dog House yo! Soft bread. Fresh meat. Can't ask for more.
Capriotti's is still my numero uno though.

There are not any "best" in Delaware. All the "Best" ones exist in PA.
Claymont, Cap's, Slack's, etc.... all are so-so.
I'll go to PA if I need a cheesesteak.
When I get one, I'll get the largest I can buy and then eat half and save the other half and eat it for breakfast.

I'm already liking 3DDD's. I mean, how can a place called Triple D's be anything but awesome?![]()
3ddd's is like next to my house, very convenient
Rep for letting me know there's a Claymont Steak Shop (or offshoot) in Newark!
I used to love Mike's Famous on Rt.4/Salem Church Rd. Pretty sure that guy was a previous owner of Claymont Steak. But as far as I know, they've been closed for years.
ETA: Amstel and Elkton Rd? Isn't that were the Crab Trap used to be?
Well from 04 to now might have changed the recipethey taste to oily.fishy to me....idk...guys at my work like them
O.K let's face it. There are lots of places which make decent cheesesteaks without the Italian Market 'attitude". The hard part at least down state is getting it on a decent roll.
