The Brits could be under seventeen metres of snow, and they'd still overcook everything. They're tenacious that way.

56 feet of snow, thats a lot! I'll take that in inches (56, not 672).

Letter: Columnist falls prey to myths about global warming

    January 08, 2010 12:13 am

    — To the editor:
Regarding Brian T. Watson's Wednesday, Jan. 6 Viewpoint column ("Copenhagen summit showed magnitude of challenge we all face"):
People like Al Gore started to go crazy about global warming a decade ago after sunspots peaked in 2001-2002 and the Earth had become a little warmer. They basically totally blamed humans for creating this effect that they call "global warming."
It's now getting cooler and those people seem to be confused since they do not understand why. They are still claiming that global warming is totally caused by man. It will again get warmer by 2013-2014, but it will not be as warm as it was in 2001-2002 as you can sort of glean from looking at sunspot- and solar-flare charts.
Why isn't this sort of factual information about the effects of sunspots and solar flares on the Earth brought up by the scientific community, as a large direct source of what causes what they call "global warming"?
The late Dr. Iben Browning, a noted scientist on global conditions, spoke and wrote about these effects happening back in the late '70s; but like most information, it goes away if not politically convenient. Dr. Browning laid out what would happen across the globe through 2030. One prediction was that the weather along the northeast coast of the U.S. would have more moisture throughout the year, while having longer, warmer winters and shorter, cooler summers. He also predicted much more serious weather conditions around the country and the world, as we have seen and experienced over those last 30 years.
Secular progressive politicians and scientists have seen to it that billions of dollars have been sunk into research in an attempt to prove that man's effect on global warming is absolutely devastating, when, in fact, there are only "fabricated facts" (computer models) to show a correlation between man's increased production of CO2 and global temperature increases.
These computer-based predictions showing a large increase in global warming due to the increase in CO2 have now gone bad while actual temperatures have been decreasing during the last decade. The facts have shown that there is been no correlation between CO2 and global warming. The facts show that the correlation of global warming and cooling are directly related to sunspot- and solar-flare activities.
John Coleman, a climate scientist and the founder of the Weather Channel, shows it clearly and simply in his video, which can be viewed at John Coleman | KUSI - News, Weather and Sports - San Diego, CA | Latest Headlines
No matter what, the secular progressive movement is so bent on having government take control of everything they still use the same games of obfuscation, which include numerous lies, etc., plus a little truth, in an attempt to confuse everything so that they can establish their points about global warming.
In other words, it means nothing if their actions would and will sink the world's economy, so long as it meets the parameters of what they would like you and me to believe, even if it has nothing to do with the truth, reasonableness or the continuation of our economy and the United States of America as we have known it to be.

This reminded me of this recent news story from Britain...

New Year's party ends for snowed-in revellers - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Some 60 revellers have been forced to drink beer and play cards for three days after they became stranded in a British pub cut off by snow storms on New Year's Eve.

A gritter and snowplough finally broke through the 2.1-metre snow drifts that had sealed off the hotel on Sunday, ending the revelry, which local newspapers dubbed Britain's longest-running New Year's Eve party.

Too bad the biggest leader there had to leave the conference early and get home before Washington, DC's airport closed due to a huge snowstorm. That's a bummer.

They also had a huge snowstorm during their conference in 2007. Maybe they should move the conference to mid-July so everyone will think it is really warm.

Lighten up people. Before "GLOBAL WARMING" has any effect on our lives we will have destroyed this country by standing on the sidelines for the sake of political correctness and dependance on government.

Poor Al Gore Written by Andrea Lafferty Saturday, 09 January 2010 06:59

Getting it Right! by Andrea Lafferty
Imagine building your whole career upon the boogieman of "global warming" and then finding out that it's been based on falsified and suppressed information on climate change?
Poor Al Gore must be sweating it out over the Climategate emails and documents posted on the internet in November 2009 - just weeks before the Copenhagen climate change conference.
Gore canceled a speech he was to give in Copenhagen on his Chicken Little beliefs about climate change. The cancellation came after the Climategate emails went viral around the globe.
