By TERRI SANGINITI • The News Journal • January 6, 2010
61-year-old woman struck by a car early Tuesday in Stanton has died of her injuries, state police reported today.

The victim was identified as Geraldine Lynch of Stanton.
The crash occurred about 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of Limestone Road (Del. 7) and Hendry Drive.
Whitmarsh said the victim, who was dressed in dark clothing, was crossing Limestone Road on the north side of the intersection, where there is no crosswalk, when she was struck by a 1992 Chevrolet Beretta. He said there is a marked crosswalk and light on the south side of the intersection.
The Beretta, driven by 33-year-old Adrian Sharp, of Chestertown, Md., was traveling south in the left lane of Limestone Road when the woman walked directly into the path of his car, Whitmarsh said.
Sharp was not injured.
Lynch was taken to Christiana Hospital and died Tuesday night.
No charges have been filed.
Police asked anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call 834-2620, ext. 287.

Re: Woman struck by car on Del. 7 dies
I feel bad for that poor guy who hit her.
America is an idea, but it's an idea that brings with it some baggage, like power brings responsibility. It's an idea that brings with it equality, but equality even though it's the highest calling, is the hardest to reach. The idea that anything is possible, that's one of the reasons why I'm a fan of America. - Bono, Commencement University of Pennsylvania May 17, 2004

Another tragic loss of life, and a memory burned into a you man's brain that will never go away. Sad, very sad.
Is it March 20th yet?
