Re: TD softball game?
I guess find out how much the permit is, and if there's picnic stuff by the back field?

Re: TD softball game?
if you look at the pic here you can see the full outline of the reserved field, then the outline below it of the field we would have.

my coworker said that the square shown in red is the pavilion with the trail to the parking lot. that is where the picnic stuff is. i suppose if someone has the main field they would get it? so we might just bring our own stuff? idk
NOTHING is set in stone but i am trying to firm this up, so if you guys have a better idea or a better location speak up now

Re: TD softball game?
I'm sure we can make it work in any event, Chase. Any idea how much the permit is?
ETA: I only ask, because I know how much it is at another place. $121 bucks. Which is steep. But...it's pretty damn nice, too. But if we can get this field for considerably less, than so be it

Re: TD softball game?
LOL. I just got off the phone with Joe at Parks and Rec.
Checking to see if PaperMill park was any cheaper just for the softball field and not the pavillion. He says, "I JUST got off the phone with somebody for the same date!" I said, "Chase?" He goes "YEAH!"
Paper Mill is youth-only fields.

Re: TD softball game?
just got off the phone with "Joe" at the park permit office. the pavillions there are booked but the permit for the firld is only 12 bucks for 2 hours, 24 for 4 hours.
so that is cool, anyone have a smaller portable grill we can setup and some tables? if so we can go for it....

Re: TD softball game?
12/24...doesn't matter. What's that, $1-2 each for 4 hours?
I say we book it. I have a portable gas grill. Or, we could always do a couple of Cap's party trays or chicken buckets or whatever and bring chips and snacks and just have a picnic and not worry about cooking.

Re: TD softball game?
Brandywine Springs is a beautiful park. It's right down the street from my old house. It's a shame the pavilions are booked, but still an excellent choice.
Happy to kick in for permits and bring/make some grub.
