went this afternoon, I don't think I blinked once, awesome movie.
The movie dragged a bit, but seeing it in 3d made up for the lack of movie depth. Visually stunning. The movie could have been a solid two hours, but a lot of time was used to show off the graphics.
I wont be getting it on dvd but I might get the bluray...

OK finally got to see it today. Let me just say it was asses and elbows in that piece today. Let alone the lady next to me stunk of something, gave me a headache, and made me want to puke within minutes of her sitting down. Aside from that GREAT movie, could have done without the 3D, was it cool having some of the bugs look like they were flying around your head, yeah. The ash made it look like snow in the theater, but I still could have done without it. Syory dragged it's feet a little, but was still good. Graphics, lets just say now I know why he has been making this movie for the past 13 or so years like he says. The battle, now they really built up to that thing didn't they? But, it sure as heck lived up to the hype the did, was pretty sweet. Loved the night setting, thought that was the best damn thing in the entire movie, as well as the tree. I would go to see it again, just not in 3D.
On a side note, Neytiri, besides the ratherly small chest, was pretty hot, If you are into a towering smurf looking thing that has spock ears, a tail, along with a forehead like Tyra.
It's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years......
That's one of the reasons I watch the new releases in the comfort of my home.....the people in the theaters drive me nuts. I actually like the movie. Was like an updated settlers taking on the Indians concept. A wild wild west in space kinda thing

We go to the theater to see a movie so rarely that it really has to be something big and bold visually to get us out there. I enjoyed this movie very much. I was impressed with the graphics. The story line could have been a little stronger but it wasn't drivel either. I would go see it again.
Normal is a setting on a dryer.
DH and I went to see it Christmas day. It was ok nothing spectacular, we also saw Sherlock the same day, DH fell asleep during Avatar. That should tell you how exciting it was.
