Sorry I can't be any help. I've done all my gaming on my PC for the past 10+ years. Before that it was a Commodore64 and an Odyssey2.
Although recently I've added a Game Cube because my kids inherited one from their mother's bf, so we keep the Game Cube at my place for when they visit. It is fun and they love playing it. I just need more practive with the controllers. I can't drive the cars worth crap!

Trust me, buy a $100 stand alone BLU-RAY player and let me know how you make out. You'll be lucky to get 2 months out of it and it's not internet ready so all your updates have to be downloaded to a disc or sent to you. Then you have the freezing, skipping and no response whatsoever requiring you to just unplug the unit and start over. You won't get the DTS and 7.1 surround decoding with the $100 unit either. One that lasts, quick response/loading, instant updates for ever changing discs and audio digital decoding, internet ready etc. list around $400 to $500 and all their reviews are comparing themselves to the PS3 performance. So for 300 bucks, you can't beat it. When it comes to electronics, you do get what you pay for. Sony took a financial beating selling them that cheap (I forgot what their marketing strategy was), so get them now before they go up.
How true that is, this is what we have, and yes we paid that much. To be honest we actually paid that much when we had a PS3 as well. PS3 went into the bedroom, and then got sold a little while after,a s it did not get used much. Ethernet plugged into the back, and it does everything it self, well with a little click of yes from me it does. It was actually compared to the PS3 when it came out, they said if you don't want a PS3, then this is what you want. Absolutely love it, to think we did barely any research on it, other that knowing it was coming out in a week, from when we started looking. Father-in-law did all kinds of research, and he has recently said that if his needs another update, he is throwing it in the trash....lmao Think he has a Panasonic, not sure, i do know it is not a Sony.
