How do you commute to work?

Another simple poll, how do you get to work. I would think most drive themselves, but there are a lot of other forms of transportation in use these days, which do you use?

On action news last night they had a segment on the septa strike and alternatives, some good info. They talked about zipcar and phillyrideshare where you can rent a car for hours at a time, also special parking spaces available only during a septa strike and riding your bike too.

Sometimes I will drive to my office in PA, some of the time I work from home, some of the time I am on a plane or train to get to my job or if it is within a few hours I drive there too.

I drive myself in my POS '98 Hyundai with a shitty radio.

8 miles from door to door, and it takes me almost 30 minutes each way. God Bless Maryland Avenue, and may he cause whomever is responsible for the light synchronization on that road to stub their toe on something made of cast iron each and every night.

I take the DART bus, which lately feels more like a petri dish. Every time someone coughs or sneezes in my vicinity I want to turn around and Lysol their entire being. I've used so much Purex that I'm liable to give myself a chemical burn.

I drive myself, 8 miles each way, takes me 10 minutes (sorry KL). Gotta love Dover. I used to drive to New Castle everyday...that sucked a$$. Did that for 15 years. 10 minutes is a welcomed change.

I'm lucky enough to work from home. But I get to be the "mommy bus" for my kids and all thier friends. There are days I'm sorry I ever have to leave my neighborhood. Soooooo wish we could move to lower and slower. Northern DE traffic SUCKS!

Depends on the mood I am in in the mornings. Walking takes me about 2 1/2 minutes and driving takes about 12 seconds.
I could shave off at least a minute of the walk time if they'd let me put a gate in the fence

I drive myself. I'm about 17 miles from work if I take I95 but it takes about a half hour. I hate I95.

Drive myself 35 miles each way up to KOP, PA. Luckily my car is a nice ride and the traffic isn't too bad for the most part.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I used to work about 5 minutes from home, and then they relocated my department to an hour away (often longer with traffic). It was just when gas prices were spiking too - it was brutal Of course they have since laid me off and rehired me so I don't think about it too much anymore.

Now that I am officially retired (at age 45 !!!!!!!) WOO HOO ! ! it takes me about 2 mins to walk downstairs to pour myself a cuppa joe. HELL YEAH

I take Route 9 Everyday, to and from. It is only 26.5 miles exactly from Driveway to Parking Spot, and vice versa. But, it takes me anywhere between 40-45 minutes. I have tried every way possible (13 to 40, 95 to 1, 13 to 1, etc...), and it does not shave any time off what so ever.
