I still stand by my thought that no one should be banned or censored under any circumstances. We all have the right to express ourselves good bad or ugly as this IS America! We don't have to agree with one another, like what someone else is saying, or even like the other person! But we are all free to hear what someone else has to write or not. If you dont like someones views dont read their posts. Protect your right to free speech and your rights as a citizen of America!

To all who think free speech no matter what the cost:
Having been an admin and also a moderator on several forums, I can tell you unequivecly that there are instances and times where a ban on someone is a necessity... as much as we all like the right to free speech... that does not equate to the right to harrass or in certain cases make a forum unusable and drive awaythe users because you tolerate one total arsehole(wonder if the censor will hit that word lol)

Seriously.. this forum so far is in no danger of anyone being banned, but as a population grows, so does the chances of people who seem to have an agenda or just the IQ of a turnip per se.

As much as no one wants to admit it... society does need rules and they are usually followed, its when you step outside whats acceptable in society that society censures you in some fashion.

I personally don't care what people dish out to me, I can handle it and dish it back... but not everyone is the same, hence you do need to set boundaries.


On a final note (looking at my fave italian hot blood)... this is in no way comparable to TNJ's nazi post deletions or bannings

I got banned by The News Journal 3 times in 24 hours. That's why I come to TD now. Eff TNJ......... we looooove Talk Delaware!!! lol (ok, so Chase paid me off to say that last bit.) So anyway, I agree that I would ban meeeee!!!!

Hmmm. I haven't seen anyone who deserves to be banned,,,,yet. Reasons for banning? I have a few:
1. Bad language. It's not necessary. I will agree sometimes it does help get a point across.
2. Personal attacks. Only shows desperation and immaturity.
3. Name calling. See #2.

At this point in time I don't think that there is anyone that deserves to be banned.

I can think of reasons why someone could get theirselves banned but up to this point I have not read anything that would make a poster ban worthy.
