DE neighborhoods?

Hi. I'm considering a move to DE and have a nice realtor (whom I'm driving insane, poor woman). So I thought I'd mention it here. My dilemma is this: I want to be as close to the PA border as possible, preferrably between Foulk Rd and 202 in a NON-development. There doesn't seem to be many areas where one can purchase a nice-sized lot, unlike in PA. Any particular neighborhood section suggestions? I think I'm talking about the 19810 zip code - it's all so confusing - but AWAY from 95 and 495.I don't need a large home...but I do want some ground. any neighborhoods to avoid? THANKS!

I live in 19810..in a nice neighborhood (right about 2 min off of Foulk (off of Grubb and Marsh), but you are right. There isn't too much land around to just build on or, if there is land...it's pricey! I really do love this area, though!

However, right down the street from me is a newly built home and there is an open lot for sale right next to it that is to be built on. PM me if you are interested in it's location!

Yeah, you don't get a lot of land in Brandywine Hundred - and there's not a lot of non-development areas either.

There's a nice rancher for sale on Marsh Rd, just north of Naamans (almost to PA). And there are a couple of houses on Grubb (almost next to each other) that are very close to parkland.

Thanks Demoa & Raptor! I was walking around one on Grubb which is empty. I think it backs to a park. I think any home with ground would have to be on a semi-main road such as Grubb or marsh. i did contact the township about front-yard fencing, and they seem to be okay with it as long as it doesn't create a blind spot for drivers, obviously. i have dogs I would worry about - you know: scooting out the front door. It hasn't happened yet - but ya never know.

I'm not sure you understand, we put post in the most suitable sections according to topic. It doesn't matter where the post is, if there is a new post in it people will see it, always.

Looks to me you have gotten lots of good answers and if you asked another question you would get more good answers, but you are free to "go elsewhere"
