    Re: What makes you happy?

I've been having an amazing vacation here in the OuterBanks. We've visited the Wright Bros Memorial, climbed the large sand dunes at Jockey Ridge, watched the sunnrise on the beach, and have spent way too much money. The weather has been beautiful especially considering that we were supposed to have a couple full days of rain and we didn't. It's going to suck coming back to reality on Sunday but right now i'm still happy to be here.

Realizing my own problems at home are nothing compared to the ridiculous drama some people create on their own.

Also, the feeling of smug superiority at realizing how very calm and rational said other people make me look in comparison.

Being part of the US Hot Air Balloon Team tonight makes me happy. What a fun time! This was my 2nd time out as part of the ground crew. Good times.

DUDE! I crewed for a couple years. I've been seriously thinking about getting back into it. Who is the pilot? Was it a glow, tethered event or an actual flight?

I just sent you a PM too.

That's cool. I was on Stan Hess's crew today (AFAIK, he's the owner of the US Hot Air Balloon Team). The first time I crewed was a husband/wife team. There are many teams that go ballooning. Depends on who is scheduled that day when I crew for them. It's often different.

It was an actual flight. Only tethered until the balloon is up and ready to go. Usually an hour flight.

    Replied to your PM already.

Making a canoe trip down the Brandywine on such an unusually, hot, humid Autumn October day like today. The beer was cold, the fellow canoers warm and robust.
